ad aprile con la regia di Ivan Cazzola per la Illegal Film 77 (e con
la postproduzione a cura di Ouvert e lo styling di Mema Trapani).
Saremo anche presenti in studio per un'intervista con Giulia.
Abbiamo anche annunciato le (poche) date che faremo quest'estate, prima
di concentrarci sulla scrittura del nuovo album.

Be', il tour di Things To Do Today volge ormai al termine, solo
poche date ancora in programma, prima di qualche festival estivo e soprattutto
dell'attesa scrittura e registrazione del nuovo album. Qui non ci si
ferma mai.
Sul numero di Rumore
in edicola ad aprile c'è un articolo su di noi e sul nostro tour
europeo di febbraio/marzo. Venerdì scorso invece siamo stati
di nuovo ospiti di Your
Noise per l'ultima puntata della stagione, improvvisando, come al
solito, una versione acustica di "Fingers And Nails".
Molte novità sono in cantiere per l'autunno, innanzitutto un
ritorno in Europa a settembre. Restate sintonizzati.
Nel frattempo, molto lentamente, stiamo aggiornando le foto
qui sul sito...

We still have a few shows left for our Things To Do Today tour
and then we'll finally concentrate on writing/recording our new album,
which is gonna be mental.
We're planning a short European tour for september so stay tuned for
infos about that. We also might pop up in some European festivals this
summer.
In the meantime, I'm slowly updating the pictures
on this website...

We're back from our European tour. It was easily the best tour we ever
did. I'll post some pictures soon, in the meantime you can check a few
on our myspace
page.
We drove a really long way (about 12000 km), and experienced amazing
landscapes and sights such as norwegian fjords, norwegian mountains,
the north sea, Paris, London, Berlin, and so many more.
We also took about a million ferries (France/England, England/Denmark,
Denmark/Norway, Norway/Norway, Norway/Denmark) and spent hours and hours
in crazy lounges with scandinavian people getting drunk and playing
slot machines all around.
We have some shows in Italy coming up now, but we'll head out to Europe
again at some point, so keep checking.
We shot the video for "Goodbye" when we were in Berlin (at
4 AM in the U-Bahn), so wait for news about it soon!
February 5th
Ok, so we're packing up some stuff for our longest and coldest tour
ever. 4 weeks out there on the road, including Scandinavia in full winter
so we're packing some warm clothes as well. We're getting excited. Also
because for the first time in 6 years Disco Drive will be driving their
own van, a superfancy Mercedes Sprinter we're all so psyched about!!
The UK release date for "Things To Do Today" has been pushed
back a little, so it's coming out february 18, and we suggest to pre-order
the album at the very lovely Norman
records webstore, which is also selling most of our back catalog.
Please check our myspace
page for updates about the European tour as this website won't be
updated until we get back in mid march. There is still some shows to
be confirmed in the UK, Sweden and Germany.
We're also shooting the video for our second single, "Goodbye",
in Berlin, and we're really psyched about that too!! The video is going
to be directed by our friend Nat Fowler who recently did a very nice
video for !!!'s "Yadnus".

Hey siamo stati nominati tra i dieci dischi dell'anno da XL di Repubblica...
e la cosa incredibile è che al momento siamo in testa! Potete
votare QUI,
se vi va di votare noi invece che Giorgia, per esempio.
Abbiamo ancora un paio di date a gennaio prima di imbarcarci nel più
lungo tour Europeo che abbiamo mai fatto. Poi torneremo in Italia per
altri concerti tra marzo e aprile, quindi restate comunque sintonizzati.
"Things To Do Today" uscirà anche in Giappone all'inizio
del 2008 grazie alla licenza con Art Union!! Wow!

Hey you probably won't mind but we've been nominated as one of the top
10 records by Italy's hip magazine XL. You can vote for us HERE
if you don't know how to spend the next 2 minutes.
We're getting ready for our European tour in february/march. Lots of
shows are still to be confirmed but it's taking its shape now. We'll
visit some places we've never been to so far and we'll practice our
driving skills in the icy roads of Scandinavia in the winter so it's
going to be challenging.
But fun.
And the good news is that "Things To Do Today" is coming out
in Japan as well through Art Union so we might pack things again very
soon for some action in the far east...

8/10 review in the NME, and all the rest.
Ok so despite some distribution problems (our dear worldwide distributor,
Hausmusik, is no more), "Things To Do Today" is actually coming
out for all of you out there through Indigo,
AND we're planning a BIG tour in early 2008.
We'll play Germany which we missed so much, as well as the UK, Scandinavia
and some other territories as well (including our first show ever in
Paris!!
We're so excited!). Dates and details in the shows
page. Lots more coming soon.
We're getting good press from the UK (including this
review on the NME) and Germany so things look good.
Hopefully we'll confirm a release date for the Japanese version of our
album in the next update as well.

Il video di "It's A Long Way To The Top" è in rotazione
su MTV, All Music si unira alla festa più avanti.
Il 13 dicembre saremo ospiti di Carlo Pastore a Your
Noise quindi alle 18 sintonizzatevi sulle frequenze adolescenziali
di MTV per farvi due risate della nostra timidezza televisiva.
Siamo sempre in giro, il prossimo week end voleremo anche a Cagliari
e a gennaio andremo anche al sud quindi accorrete sempre numerosi che
ci si diverte...
A febbraio invece ce ne torniamo in giro per l'Europa per un mese, quindi
se siete in Erasmus o in vacanza fatevi un giro ad uno dei nostri concerti...
E' finalmente disponibile anche la versione in vinile (anzi, in doppio
vinile gatefold con tre lati di musica e uno disegnato/inciso... e comprando
il doppio LP si trova anche un coupon per scaricare gratis i pezzi da
internet) di "Things To Do Today", che costa 15 € più
spese di spedizione ed è bellissima. La trovate anche sul sito
di Unhip ovviamente,
e nei migliori negozi di dischi.

"Things To Do Today" è uscito in tutti i negozi e sta
andando molto bene, sono uscite ottime recensioni su Rumore, Blow Up,
Mucchio, Rockerilla, Hot, Vice, Tribe, Beat, Insound, Music Club, Rockit,
D di Repubblica... Le posteremo al più presto insieme alle prossime
in uscita. Stiamo anche facendo un bel po' di interviste sia in radio
che per stampa e web, quindi dovreste trovarci in vari formati.
Il video di "It's A Long Way To The Top" dovrebbe uscire questa
settimana o la prossima quindi sintonizzatevi!

So our new album "Things To Do Today" is coming out on august
30th (that's in two days!) in Italy. Then it's november 2nd for the
rest of Europe except for the UK and wait for some good news about Japan
as well. In the meantime you can listen to it exclusively on our
myspace page just for this week so go for it!
We're flying off to Norway to play a couple shows and we'll be playing
some UK shows in september and october, so check the dates below.
But the big news it's in italian this time!

nei negozi, dopodomani 30 agosto. Dovreste trovarlo ovunque visto che
adesso Unhip
è distribuita da Audioglobe,
di gran lunga il miglior distributore indipendente in Italia.
Nelle FNAC sarà anche in ascolto, così come per tutta
questa settimana è in ascolto in esclusiva sulla nostra pagina
di myspace.
Dopo un giretto in Norvegia questa settimana parte il tour di Things
To Do Today e toccheremo tutta la penisola e le isole, le prime date
le trovate qui sotto e nella pagina dei concerti, molti altri ancora
da confermare, etc...

Hey there, we can finally report that our new album is ready. It's being
mastered these days by Alan Douches at West
West Side Music in New Jersey, so the final thing is almost here.
Our official mood is: "really happy".
It was recorded by Bruno Germano and mixed by Steve Revitte all through
these first months of 2007 and we're really proud of it.
It's called "Things To Do Today" and it's coming out on september
7th through Unhip
Records.
We're gonna shoot the first video really soon and this is coming out
by early summer, according to the schedule.

We're gonna play a few shows in the summer as a warm up, and then the
real tour kicks in when the record comes out in september.
We're gonna play some UK shows as well, in may and july, including some

Plans for the next UK single are being discussed as of now so keep checking
for updates.
We've been featured in Artrocker
Magazine, Disorder
Magazine and Observer Music Monthly so it's looking good.
We also contributed a song to the new Dance
To The Radio compilation called "Something
I Learned Today" which got amazing press and we saw some benefits
from that as well (like the NME review).

Be', un mini aggiornamento anche in italiano per dirvi che il nostro
nuovo album è finalmente pronto. Verrà masterizzato in
questi giorni al West West Side Music studio in New Jersey e avremo
quindi il master definitivo a giorni.
E' stato registrato da Bruno Germano e mixato da Steve Revitte in questi
primi mesi del 2007 e siamo molto orgogliosi di come è venuto.
Si chiamerà "Things To Do Today" ed esce ufficialmente
il 7 settembre su Unhip Records. In questi giorni dovremmo anche girare
il primo video che uscirà invece per l'estate.
La tracklist è quella lì sopra.
Saremo in giro a presentare i pezzi nuovi per un po' di festival quest'estate
(tra cui la prima edizione di Italia Wave a Sesto Fiorentino), e per
la prima volta (sembra incredibile dopo 250 concerti...) suoneremo a
Firenze e Napoli e siamo molto contenti.
Ci si vede in giro per la penisola, dunque.

Hey, we're back from our UK tour and we're tired but ok. It was great
fun. You can read a report on our myspace
page. Our single
is almost sold out so things went great!! We'll be back in may for some
more action. We're also contributing a song to "Something
I Learned Today" compilation on Dance
To The Radio out april 2. And we'll be releasing a new single soon.
Now we're working on our new album again. Vocals to be recorded next
week, and mixing in early april.

We're packing our things to leave for our UK tour right now. Long drive.
We have some new shows, so check the shows
section. Come to see us as we'll play lots of new songs + our single
rocks.

UK Single, Eurosonic, new album january
5th, 2007.
So we're about to pack our things to drive all the way up to Eurosonic...
and we're getting excited about it. We're playing on january 11th upstairs
at Shadrak and we'll be on stage at 10:30 PM. The
Je Ne Sais Quoi are on before us and Feverdream
and Hot Gossip
are on after. And about 50 more bands from all over Europe are playing
all over the town during the whole week end!
But the good news is that our debut UK single is coming out february
26th through Tough
Love Records. Wow!
It features "All About This" and "A Factory Of Minds",
so we'd like to consider it a double A side single.
We're having a release party on feb 23rd at Coventry's Taylor
John's House, for Tough Love's monthly club night Don't
Go Home.
And of course we're doing a full UK tour around that date and it looks
like we're finally making our way up to Scotland as well!!!
In other news, we're gonna record our new album in early february so
we'll work hard for a late spring release date so that we can spend
the spring and summer on the road to support it. Be ready!!

Siamo ormai pronti a partire per Eurosonic,
e siamo caldi! Suoniamo l'11 gennaio alle 22:30 allo Shadrak. The
Je Ne Sais Quoi prima, e Feverdream
e Hot Gossip
dopo faranno festa insieme a noi, mentre almeno altri 50 gruppi da tutta
Europa suoneranno durante il week end!
Ma la notizia è ch eil nostro primo singolo in UK esce ufficialmente
il 26 febbraio su Tough Love Records. Wow!
Ci saranno "All About This" e "A Factory Of Minds",
quindi ci piace considerarlo un double A side!
Il release party è il 23 febbraio alla Taylor
John's House di Coventry per la serata mensile di Tough Love, Don't
Go Home Club.
E ovviamente faremo anche il nostro primo vero tour inglese intorno
a quella data e sembra che finalmente arriveremo anche in Scozia!

con un concerto a MURATO, a Villa

We just can's stand still. Even when we decided to take a break from
playing shows to write our new album, things keep on moving on the Disco
Drive side. So next monday we'll make our second appearance on MTV Italy,
this time on Voice.
It's a new show by Camila Raznovich. Thanks to Hattie from our side,
we had fun.
And besides that, we're currently booking our very first full UK tour
for february and it looks great so far. Keep checking for updates as
there's plenty of shows still to be confirmed.

Proprio non riusciamo a stare fermi. Anche quando avevamo deciso di
smettere con i concerti per scrivere il nostro nuovo album, le cose
continuano a muoversi per i Disco Drive. E così lunedì
prossimo alle 21 faremo la nostra seconda apparizione su MTV, questa
volta su Voice,
programma ideato e condotto da Camila Raznovich. Si parla di nuove tecnologie.

E a parte questo, il nostro tour in Inghilterra sta prendendo forma.

* I forgot to mention that our video for "All About This"
won an award as "Best Unprofessional Video" in the Video Freccia
video award a few weeks ago. Sounds amazing! DIY and good ideas is better
than big budgets and shitty scripts. We also got a 500 € check
that went straight to the director's pockets (cause he worked on it
for free) and which is about the amount of money that costed us to make
the video!!!
* Also, our dates around the Eurosonic festival are shaping up: we're
coming over to Frankfurt and Rheine in Germany and we'll be back at
the amazing Zukunft in Zürich (we'll never get enough Zukunft).
Plus a couple more still to be confirmed.
* Also, despite being on hold from playing shows for a while, we're
playing a special event this friday in Milan at Electric Youth at Magnolia.
This is going to be a feature on us for MTV. We'll tell you more about
it but if you happen to be in Milan this friday, do come over to see
us!!

* Mi sono dimenticato di dire che il nostro video per "All
About This" ha vinto un premio come "Miglior Video Non-Professionale"
al premio Video Freccia di Molinella qualche settimana fa. Incredibile!
Il fai da te e le buone idee pagano!! Abbiamo anche vinto un assegno
di 500 € (che è più o meno la cifra che abbiamo speso
per girare il video...) che sono andati dritti dritti nelle tasche del
regista che aveva lavorato ovviamente gratis...
* Le nostre date di andata e ritorno per Eurosonic stanno prendendo
forma: suoneremo a Francoforte e Rheine in Germania e torneremo di nuovo
al mitico Zukunft a Zurigo: non ne avremo mai abbastanza!! E ce ne sono
ancora un paio da confermare...
* Ma soprattutto: nonostante il nostro periodo di pausa, suoneremo in
via del tutto eccezionale questo venerdì a Milano alla serata
Electric
Youth al Magnolia!!
Questo concerto farà parte di un qualche cosa su di noi su MTV
in futuro, vi diremo di più tra qualche giorno... in ogni caso
se siete a Milano venite a vederci che è l'unica occasione per
farlo in questo 2006!!

* We've been invited to play Eurosonic
2007 in Groningen, Netherlands. This is happening in january and we're
psyched!! We're probably playing a few shows in Germany and Switzerland
around that date so keep checking for further info about it.
* Also keep your eyes open for our upcoming debut UK single which is
coming out next year. We'll give you more news about it soon. We're
also doing a full UK tour around the release date in late february so
we're coming back again!
* Besides that, we're still working on writing, writing and more writing
in our smelly practice space and things are going pretty smooth. We
have about 10 songs already sorted out as of now and we're planning
to have lots more by the end of the year.

* Siamo stati invitati a suonare a Eurosonic
a Groningen, in Olanda a gennaio prossimo. Eccezionale! Tra l'altro
faremo probabilmente qualche concerto in Germania e Svizzera intorno
all'11 gennaio in cui suoneremo a Eurosonic.
* Oltre a questo, faremo presto anche il nostro primo singolo in Inghilterra...
presto news al riguardo! Saremo anche in tour in Inghilterra in coincidenza
con l'uscita del singolo nella seconda metà di febbraio!
* A parte questo siamo sempre al lavoro sul nostro nuovo album nella
nostra sala prove puzzolente e le cose stanno andando alla grande. Abbiamo
già una decina di pezzi pronti e prevediamo di averne molti altri
entro la fine dell'anno.

* Mentre ci siamo finalmente messi al lavoro sul nostro nuovo album,
ci siamo anche dati da fare con le interviste, di recente. Di quella

di settembre vi avevamo già detto. Mentre questo mese ci trovate
anche tra le pagine di Rockerilla
e il prossimo tra quelle di Vice
(per la quale abbiamo anche fatto un superbo servizio fotografico nel
gabinetto di un noto locale del centro di Torino...). Sul web invece
trovate nostre tracce su Rocklab
(che ha anche fatto un'ottima recensione
del nostro ultimo concerto a Roma) e Bloomriot
e presto anche su Rockit
(di cui dovrebbe credo uscire anche una versione cartacea).

* Ok, so our final shows were great fun and also kind of dramatic, as
Alessio end up in a hospital on friday, and we had a tyre exploding
on the highway on the way back home on sunday... but the shows were
great and especially Roma was just as expected and we couldn't have
had a better final show!!
* We've been invited to play a live show at Larsen, a nice TV program
broadcasted on Futura Rai TV. This is going to happen on friday, october
13th, and you can watch our performance live (10 PM) on the internet.
Wow!
* We're also making our plans of a short European tour for late november/early
december, so keep checking!

* Ok, il nostro ultimo week end in giro per la penisola è stato
bello e drammatico visto che Alessio è finito al pronto soccorso
venerdì e ci è esplosa una gomma in autostrada mentre
tornavamo a casa domenica... però i concerti sono stati belli
e Roma in particolare è stato come speravamo e non ci sarebbe
potuto essere ultimo concerto migliore!!
* Siamo stati invitati a suonare dal vivo a Larsen, programma di musica
su Rai Futura, venerdì 13 ottobre. Potete seguire il concerto
in diretta (alle 22) su internet! Wow!
* Stiamo anche finalizzando i piani per il tour Europeo di fine novembre/dicembre...

* Ok, so I finally managed to update some kind of information on this
website. You can find some links below, including a tentative biography
of this band, a discography section, some detailed contact information
to book our shows, do interviews, get press releases and all that stuff
you might need, and blah blah blah.
* Don't ask why it took so long. There's no answer. We play music, and
it's not written in a HTML format.
* Just two more shows and we're done for 2006 with live entertainment.
Can't wait to get to work on our new album. We're psyched to play the
very last show in Roma 'cause we LOVE Roma, it's the "eternal city"
so we're going to be eternally in love with it. Also, two of us also
kind of support AS Roma (that's soccer-releated business), we love Circolo
degli Artisti, and there's going to be amazing wheather. Bad thing Bruno,
our sound engineer, hates Roma though. But we don't care.

some international shows this fall. I just felt like writing about Roma.

* Ok, finalmente siamo riusciti a mettere qualche straccio di informazione
su questo sito. Trovate dei links più in basso, tra cui una sorta
di "bio" del gruppo, una sezione "discografia",

o un'intervista o quant'altro e un po' di altre cosette. Buon divertimento.
* Non chiedetemi perchè ci è voluto così tanto.
Non c'è una risposta. Noi facciamo musica, e non è scritta
in linguaggio HTML...
* Solo due concerti e la facciamo finita con l'intrattenimento dal vivo
per il 2006. Non vediamo l'ora di metterci al lavoro sul nuovo album.
Siamo molto contenti di suonare a Roma come ultimo concerto perchè
amiamo Roma, è la città eterna e quindi la ameremo in
eterno. Oltretutto due di noi più o meno tifano Roma, ci piace
il Circolo degli Artisti, e ci sarà sicuramente un tempo magnifico.
Purtroppo il nostro fonico, Bruno, odia Roma. Affari suoi.

reducing our live activity here in our home country.

for refurbishment after its floor has fallen through at the Horrors

un certo qual ritardo, fa sempre piacere!
* Dal 1 ottobre smetteremo di andarcene in giro per la penisola su furgoni
scassati per dedicarci un po' al nostro nuovo album che richiede un
po' di sana attenzione. Del resto se ci avete visto di recente avrete
sentito dei pezzi bellissimi che non avevate mai sentito prima che sono
i primi vagiti del disco che verrà...

So, it's official: we're coming back to London in august AND september.

We're just back from a two day studio session and we came up with a
new song. Yes, just one but it's almost 10 minutes long so expect something
wild.
We're hard at work on our second album which is going to be crazy. Keep
checking for further info. We might be posting here some demos. We're
really excited about it.

Aggiornamento di una notte di mezza estate per dirvi che siamo appena
tornati da due giorni in studio in quel di Imperia dove abbiamo registrato
la nostra canzone più lunga di sempre: quasi 10 minuti.

Hey we're home from tour. Really tired after a 25 hour drive from London
but very happy. Unfortunately we had a bunch of cancelled shows (and
so is our show in Giessen tomorrow, while München
and B-Sides festival
are still there and we are playing them!), but all the ones we played
were really, really good. Thanks to all the people that did something
for us in these past 20 days. We spent quite a few days hanging out
in Berlin and London and that's good as we really LOVE both of them.
We are actually coming back to London pretty soon, as it seems. Now
we're pretty much psyched about the world cup as we missed the first
days but had the chance to check the Brits' fever for it!!
A bit of news:
* Yes, "Very EP" came out almost in time for our tour. It
is now available on digipak CD and it features 6 new songs and the video
for "All About This" as enhanced content. The vinyl version
(12") is also out now. You can order it at Unhip
Records or directly from us!
It's 10 € post paid! Otherwise ask HAUSMUSIK,
our wonderful worldwide distributor.
* We have new t-shirts. I'm trying to upload a picture but we have some
server problems so wait a bit for it... by the way, they're RED
with PINK printing and they're amaizingly
good. They're 12 € post paid.
* There's a good review of our crazy show at Dot
to Dot festival in the current issue of Artrocker
Magazine (this is in England, by the way).
* We're contributing a song (which is "All About This") to
the current OX Fanzine
compilation
CD (this is in Germany).
* We're also contributing a song (which is "A Factory Of Minds")
to the compilation CD coming out with the next Artrocker
Magazine due out june 21st (that's back to England).
* We shot a video for "A Factory Of Minds" while we were in
London last week. Yota and Gira are now hardworking on some beautiful
animation and we expect the video to be ready by july, I guess. We have
some pictures of the "making of" to be uploaded soon.

* More shows for our European tour in may/june, including some more
festival appearances, are to be confirmed very soon so keep checking.
* "Very EP" Release Party will be the first show of the tour
and it's at Italy's most wanted indie club, Covo
in Bologna on may 18th. It's gonna be a "Murato"
night so it's a must-go!

* Our new EP, titled Very EP, is now finally ready. It's going to be
mastered, as also was What's Wrong With You, People? at renowned Dubplates
and Mastering Studios in Berlin, and release date will be at some
point in may. Tracklist is going to surprise you all, and it will also
feature the All About This video as enhanced content. For now, titles:

* In the meantime, we're getting busy in our practice space and we already
have about 10 new songs to be arranged and produced for our new album.
We hope we can have it out by the end of the year.

* Dopo quasi 4 anni, 157 concerti, 4 tour Europei, 4 dischi (di cui
uno in uscita), innumerevoli prove, un furto, un video, eccettera eccetera,
le strade dei Disco Drive e di Andrea Pomini si sono separate. Non è
stata una separazione semplice ma era necessaria e siamo convinti che
da ora in avanti le cose non potranno che migliorare. La separazione
è dovuta ad un intreccio di motivi pratici e personali che è
abbastanza difficile spiegare a chi è esterno, ma si può
dire che almeno su questo siamo stati tutti d'accordo. Qui
trovate la lettera di Andrea a tutti gli amici.
* Per il momento abbiamo deciso di cancellare i concerti di febbraio
e marzo (ci scusiamo con i promoters, e contiamo comunque di recuperarli
al più presto) per avere un po' di tempo per riorganizzarci (siamo
già al lavoro in sala prove...), ma torneremo già ad aprile
più forti di prima. Abbiamo già diverse date fissate in
Europa per i mesi di aprile e maggio, le trovate più in basso.
Altre saranno annunciate a breve.
* Per quanto riguarda le altre novità, il video di "All
About This" è stato presentato questa settimana e sarà
in esclusiva su MTV.it

* Il nuovo EP è quasi pronto, e stiamo terminando gli ultimi

* After nearly 4 years, 157 shows, 4 European tours, 4 records (of which
one isn't out yet), countless practice sessions, a theft, a video and
so on and so forth, Disco Drive parted ways with bassplayer and founder
member Andrea Pomini. It wasn't an easy step to take but it was needed
and we believe that things couldn't do anything but improve from now
on. Reasons are both personal and practical and are quite hard to tell
to people not directly involved with the band, but we can say that at
least on that we all agreed on the decision. Here
you can find Andrea's letter to all his friends about it.
* We decided to cancel all of our italian shows for february and march
to take some time to re-organize ourselves (we're already busy in our
practice space...) but we'll be back in april stronger than ever. We've
been invited to some nice festivals in Europe and setting up some European
shows around those, so keep an eye open for that. We'll come to Germany
and the UK again. And we won't miss Switzerland as they always treat
us so nicely there. But we're probably playing shows in other countries
as well this time so keep an eye open for that. Dates are listed below.
More are coming soon.
* In other news, the video for "All About This" was presented
this week and it's going to be available exlusively on MTV
Italy's website in a few days. Then it's gonna get (heavy?) rotation
on MTV Brand:New here in Italy. We'll post a web version on this page

* Our new EP is almost ready. We're at the final adjustments phase and
we hope to have it released by may in time for our European shows.

Hey hey hey!! We've been nominated in MTV
Italy's "Top
Of 2005" in the "Best On Stage"!!! Other acts include
Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, U2, Arcade Fire, and italian superstars Vasco
Rossi, Subsonica and Jovanotti... it's so funny to be in the same chart.
Also our video is almost ready now (how many times have you heard this
before?). We've seen it and it rocks. Our friend Nico
Vascellari and his mate Bracco did a very good job. We're really
almost there, this time...

* We got home from our European tour and despite a couple cancellations,
some really long drives and a couple not-really-good shows, we had lots
of fun, played totally rad shows, and met really nice people. Zürich
was definitely the town that hit us the most and the second "last
minute" show at Long Street bar (formerly a strip club!!) was probably
the best "day off" we ever had on tour so far!!
A big thank you to all the people that helped us out in these days and
especially to our man Gianluca (sound engineer extraordinair!!!).
* We also unexpectedly made our very first TV appearance on this tour,
and this happened at the wonderful ÒCKO
TV station in Prague, Czech Republic. It was fun! Thanks to our man
Jan for that and for the show that followed later that night...
* We're now focused on mixing our new recordings and plan the future,
so keep checking for more informations. We already have some new shows
scheduled for the new year.
Dicembre
2005
* Siamo tornati sabato dal nostro tour europeo e nonostante un paio
di date cancellate, qualche viaggio molto lungo e un paio di concerti
non proprio straordinari, ci siamo divertiti molto, abbiamo fatto un
sacco di concerti entusiasmanti e incontrato molta gente simpatica.
Zurigo è stata sicuramente la città che ci rimarrà
di più nel cuore e il secondo concerto che abbiamo fatto lì
al Long Street Bar (un ex strip bar!!) è stato sicuramente il
miglior day off che abbiamo mai avuto in tour!!
Un grosso grazie a tutti quelli che ci hanno aiutato in questi giorni
e in particolare al nostro non-solo-fonico Gianluca.
* Abbiamo anche fatto la nostra prima apparizione in TV, alla ÒCKO
TV di Praga. E' stato davvero divertente e ringraziamo Jan che poi ci
ha anche organizzato un concerto quella sera.
* Adesso il nostro impegno principale sarà di mixare i pezzi
che abbiamo registrato prima di partire e pianificare il futuro... Quindi
restate sintonizzati per le novità. Abbiamo già qualche
concerto fissato per il nuovo anno...
November 2005
* We're getting ready for our tour even though it's shorter than expected
due to some booking agency related stuff we don't really have much to
do with. Anyway, it's going to be fun so we're getting excited. Check
the dates below. More are to be announced very soon.
* We're also in the middle of the recording process of our new EP which
is coming out early next year on Unhip
Records. We're left with just vocals and mixing to do and really
happy with what came out so far. Maurice did a great job too!!
* The neverending video-editing is about to come to an end, finally
as we've been told that it should be ready by this week so watch out
for it VERY soon. It's a promise!
* We have a new german interview online at Blueprint
Fanzine.
* We end up second in the 8th "Fuori
Dal Mucchio" competion for the best italian indipendent debut
of the year. First were our friends Offlaga
Disco Pax, as expected. Cheers to them!
* Jacopo and Alessio are also featured on a fashion photo set which
is coming out on the december issue of italian music/fashion/movies/more
magazine XL!!
*Ci stiamo avvicinando al tour e gli animi sono in subbuglio. E' più
corto di come sarebbe dovuto essere per una serie di problemi di booking
con i quali non abbiamo molto a che fare ma sarà molto divertente
comunque. Non vediamo l'ora!
* Siamo anche nel mezzo delle sessioni di registrazione del nostro nuovo
EP in uscita l'anno prossimo sempre su Unhip
Records. Abbiamo solo più le voci e il mixaggio da fare e
siamo davvero soddisfatti di quello che abbiamo fatto finora! Maurice
(che ci ha anche accompagnato in qualche data come fonico, quando non
è impegnato con i Perturbazione,
i Chomski
e L'Amico
Immaginario...) ha fatto un ottimo lavoro!
* L'interminabile saga del montaggio del video sembra sia finalmente
prossima alla fine. Dovrebbe davvero essere pronto al più presto.

del premio "Fuori
Dal Mucchio" per il miglior debutto discografico italiano dell'anno.

*While all of our equipment was stolen, our record got sold out for
the second time, and the third pressing is available already. It's the
same record as before, with the same tracklist and the same artwork,
uh. You can buy a couple for your christmas presents so you don't have
to worry in the last busy days.
*Despite the theft we're not giving up on our plans and we're focusing
on our European tour which is going to take place november 23-december

*Mentre tutti i nostri strumenti venivano rubati, il nostro disco è
esaurito per la seconda volta e la terza stampa è già
disponibile. E' sempre lo stesso disco, con la stessa tracklist e la
stessa grafica, eh. Potete comprarne un paio per i vostri regali di
natale così non dovrete preoccuparvi negli ultimi giorni.
*Nonostante il furto non abbiamo cambiato i nostri piani e ci stiamo
attrezzando per il nostro tour Europeo che comincerà il 23 novembre
e ci porterà ancora una volta in giro per l'Europa fino all'11
dicembre.
*Stiamo anche ottenendo consensi in Germania visto che il nostro disco
lì è uscito il 22 agosto. Stiamo rispondendo ad un po'
di interviste e stiamo ricevendo un sacco di recensioni... se qualcuno
capisce il tedesco, eccole qui.

Dopo 110 concerti in giro per l'Italia e l'Europa, i Disco Drive a partire
da adesso sono felici di farsi rappresentare da Locusta,
per quanto riguarda l'organizzazione dei concerti. Locusta è
un'agenzia di Pisa attiva dal 1998 con cui alcuni di noi sono stati
in stretto contatto, e che rappresenta artisti a noi molto vicini. Siamo
felici di iniziare questa collaborazione che speriamo ci porti molti
altri bellissimi concerti. Siamo felici che a lavorare con noi siano
due persone simpatiche, umane e gentili come Enrico e Luca. Più
giù in questa pagina trovate i contatti, quindi non esitate a

I Disco Drive sono in tour per promuovere l'uscita del loro primo album.
Ad aprile per la prima volta al sud Italia, per la prima volta veramente
in tour nel loro paese, dopo 3 tour Europei...
Grazie a tutti quelli che
hanno organizzato le date, che ci hanno ospitato,
che sono venuti ai concerti finora, che hanno comprato il disco,
che hanno ballato e si sono divertiti come noi in questi primi 20 concerti
del tour!!

Altre date anche per l'estate, tra festival e concerti "normali",
sono in via di definizione.
Nel frattempo, abbiamo inserito una provvisoria rassegna stampa con
le prime recensioni di "What's Wrong With You, People?" uscite

Late december, 2003.
So it seems like we're done for 2003. We played a show yesterday night
in Genova and it was the last one for this year (weird but our first
show in 2003 was also in Genova...). It's been a great year for us.
We played 54 shows in 13 months, playing in 10 different countries and
with a lot of nice bands. We also released our first singles, and it
all made up for an amazing first year as an operating band.
But we expect a lot more from 2004. First of all, we will finally have
a full lenght album out in the next year. And that's why we'll be concentrating
on writing/practicing/improving songs in order to record them someday
(soon, hopefully), so we'll play a little less in the upcoming months.
We'll be shut in our cold practice space working hard on the songs and
that's what will be in our mind until we'll be ready to enter the studio
for the final processing.

Late
august, 2003.
We also just got back from a much shorter mini-mini-tour of one show
in Switzerland and two shows in Germany.
It was great fun and we hope to tour again someday soon. Ehm... Our
thanks and see-you-soons go to Paolo, the disco-driver and soundman.
Fig was great in Lausanne, as was the "For Noise" festival
all around. Randy was much less exciting than we expected, but we got
to experience the Failed Teachers, and it was WORTH IT.
The Kafe Kult in Munchen was great (hey Tibor, Matthias, Sylia and everyone,
plus Sebastian the hitchhiker!), and it seemed like we never wanted
to leave. But we had to reach equally amazing OBW9 in Stuttgart, and
have more great times with Daniel, Cristina and everyone else there.
Rosqo, Yaphet Kotto, Costa's Cake House, Descarga and Tidal played with
us. Hello guys!
Switzerland and Germany are nations with a lot of italian families,
people that left our country in the past decades looking for something
they couldn't find here. When we were the ones everyone despised. It
was great to meet some of their sons at our shows, and it's a little
memory game that every rightwing good citizen in Italy should at least
try once.
Late

We just got back from our first european tour with The Cassettes. It
was great fun and we hope to tour again someday soon. We drove for more
than 8000 km, passed through 10 different countries and played 16 shows
in 8 of them. All the places we played were cool, and that was great.
