EUROPEAN TOUR november/december 2005 (pics and words by Andrea)
 
(L) Good old Tizio's van parked outside The Social in Nottingham, after our first show of the tour at Liars Club. A couple of fights are going on to your right.
(R) Sound guy Gianluca outside Elly's house in Hackney. We made it, straight from Torino, 22 hours. Time for some indian cuisine.
   
(L) Elly's small yard is big enough for 80% the van, and after being robbed of all our equipment this looks like good news. And it's almost like the house has a new room!

(R) Choose some random italian words and you're cool. Like we do in Italy with english words, basically. Meaning optional.

(L) Hey! Maybe The Cassettes are on that other struggling ferry! Bro? Canyouhearmeeeeee?
(R) Gianluca knows la formule secrète.
   
(L) Once in Dunkerque, the sun almost shines.
(R) But Alessio seems to anticipate what the city will be like... remember that Simpsons episode when Bart goes to France on a student exchange program?
   
(L) Once in Zürich, we relax at Susy's incredible bed & breakfast place. This is for the back cover of my bestseller to come.
(R) Before we play, my man dj Kalabrese introduces the band to the crowd at Zukunft.

(L) Before playing a last minute show at the Long Street Bar, we are taken to an italian restaurant. It's just the beginning, but we don't know it yet.
(R) Mario is the owner.
   
(L) Toni is the waiter. He speaks perfect italian with strong southern accent, but he's from Albania. He's obviously glad to know some of my ancestors came from there, too.
(R) Suddenly, the whole place turns into an italian party, with Toto Cutugno and Eros Ramazzotti blasting from the speakers and people dancing and screaming everywhere. Please meet Pino.
   
(L) Pino knows how to party.
(R) Our promoter Michi knows too.
   
(L) Then the wigs come out, and everything steps up to the next level.
(R) See?
   
(L) Then a viking helmet comes out, and horn signs abound.
(R) Gang signs are then unavoidable. "Whatever, motherfucker".
   
(L) Pino is definitely one of the dudes, but where's he looking at? Swiss girls?
(R) The show at the Long Street Bar was killer, Bärbel and Michi look very tired.
   
(L) After those glory days in Zürich, a monday night at an almost empty university bar in Mainz can be very boring. So we hit each other randomly, and Jacopo gets injured.
(R) This is gonna be obscure and not funny for everyone except us and a handful of poor souls like us, but I swear this car's plate was really "BDC"!!!
   
(L) Driving through eastern Deutschland in the early morning of my birthday. Cheerful sight!
(R) After our show at L'Enfer Rouge in Prague, I get to meet David from Newcastle. Today it's his birthday too!
